What do I need to do after swapping my nozzle, hot end or toolhead?
After swapping the nozzle, hot end or toolhead the printer geometry will be different and require certain recalibrations:
Swapped Nozzle
This assumes swapping for identical nozzle, not nozzle materials or model/manufacturers, otherwise follow Nozzle + Hot End instructions.
- PID
- gcode z offset
- flow ratio
- if previously calibrated (Klipper: PROBE_CALIBRATE), recalibration of z probe
Swapped hot end
All the calibration as above for Nozzle plus
- filament extrusion temperatures
- max volumetric flow rate
Toolhead
All the above calibrations for hot end and nozzle but first
- extruder rotational distance
And then after all other calibrations
- input shaping
