It's not necessary. It will not resolve any printing issues you're having with your prints.  

There are no beneficial software changes or fixes for the printer itself. The more recent updates actually purposefully break a key [[Klipper]] feature. 

The updates mostly change and update workflows on the ancillary [[Screen]].

If you actually want to be updating and playing with firmware then consider [[OpenNeptune]]
